Power for Food Partners Review Progress and Strengthen Collaboration at the Planning Programme Workshop

A Knowledge Management (KM) Consultative Workshop was held on 5th February 2026 at the Renewable Energy Training Centre by the Centre for Research in Energy and Energy Conservation (CREEC) which has launched a coordinated effort to strengthen learning, evidence generation, and collaboration across the implementing partners for the Power for Food Partnership Programme by collectively reflecting how knowledge is generated, captured, shared and applied throughout the programme.

The meeting provided an important platform for partners to align perspectives and contribute to the objectives of the proposed establishment of a Central Knowledge Management Hub for Power for Food. The participants further explored how the shared KM system could enhance programme effectiveness by improving access to information, strengthening evidence-based decision-making, increasing visibility of results, and supporting the scaling of successful approaches in the Regenerative Agriculture and Productive Use of Renewable Energy within food systems.

Partners emphasised that a well-designed KM hub could serve not only as a repository of documents and data, but also as a dynamic platform for learning, innovation, and collaboration. The key considerations included identifying priority knowledge products, clarifying data flows between partners, establishing governance and coordination mechanisms, and ensuring long-term accessibility and sustainability of the hub.

One of the most significant outcomes of the workshop was the agreement that each partner organisation will develop its own internal Knowledge Management Strategy. These strategies will be developed with technical guidance and support from CREEC and are expected to reflect organisational priorities, capacities, and knowledge needs. Importantly, the partner-level strategies will collectively inform the design, and operational framework of the Power for Food Knowledge Management Hub.

This approach is intended to ensure that the hub is grounded in partner realities while promoting programme coherence and coordination.
