REC24 & EXPO

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, in collaboration with the National Renewable Energy Platform (NREP), held the fourth annual Renewable Energy Conference and Expo (REC24 & EXPO) from October 31 to November 2, 2024, at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala. The event marked the conclusion of the 20th Energy and Minerals Week and was held under the theme "Transforming Livelihoods Through Clean Energy Access."

REC22 & EXPO

REC22 & Expo ran under the theme, “Renewable Energy for Sustainable Industrialization, Inclusive Growth and Economic Recovery”. The REC22 & Expo event was highly attended with a representation of participants from over 20 countries around the world. Pressing issues were addressed in the sector under the various thematic areas, namely, Technology, Capacity Building and Innovation; Energy Finance; Energy Transition; Policy, Planning and Partnerships; and Gender and Inclusivity. The conference provided ways forward for promoting renewable energy for sustainable development.

The Renewable Energy Conference 2021 and EXPO (REC21 & EXPO) marked a significant milestone as the inaugural annual conference dedicated to advancing renewable energy solutions.
