This Model Business Case (MBC) analyses the financial feasibility of a 60 kWp mini-grid project running on a solar PV-battery-diesel hybrid system on an island on Lake Victoria (the Project). The green mini-grid (GMG)1 can provide basic electricity needs to approximately 450 off-grid households and 35 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This MBC examines the KeyMaker Model (KMM) for fish cooling on the Ugandan side of Lake Victoria.2
