Nabaho currently serves as the Associate Officer Project Management at the NREP, dedicated to advancing sustainable renewable energy solutions in Uganda. Emmanuel has a work experience of over 2 years, with practical experience gained through an apprenticeship with the Renewable Energy Department at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. He has contributed to the development of key national strategies, including the National E-Cooking Strategy for Uganda, the National Biogas Strategy, and Standards for Electric Cooking appliances. Emmanuel was involved in a number of renewable energy projects such as; the Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (NAMA) Biogas Project, the Enabling African Cities for Transformative Energy Access (ENACT) project with ICLEI Africa, the Forest Management and Sustainable Charcoal Value Chain Project with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the “Support National Planning Processes for SLCP Mitigation and National Methane Roadmap for Uganda project by the Stockholm Environment Institute. Emmanuel has also been a key organizer of Uganda’s Renewable Energy Conference and Expo (2023 & 2024) with the National Renewable Energy Platform, a journey inspired by his participation in the 2022 edition, which ignited his passion for renewable energy.

Emmanuel earned his Bachelor of Science degree (BSc.) in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Uganda Christian University. He also holds certificates in modeling long-term low-emission pathways using the Low Emissions Analysis Platform (LEAP) by the Stockholm Environment Institute (2024), as well as in Solar-Powered Irrigation Planning, Feasibility, and System Design by Energising Development and in Photovoltaic System Design and Minigrids Demand Assessment and Forecasting by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Racheal serves as the Associate Officer Systems and Public Relations at NREP. Racheal is a professional in forestry and environmental management with an experience of about 2 years. She has experience in Bio Renewable energy, whereby she trained and volunteered at the Ministry of Energy and mineral Development (MEMD), and offered technical support on the Forest management, clean cooking activities and Sustainable charcoal value chain project. Racheal also volunteered with FairVentures World Wide as a research assistant in restoration of Jubiya Forest, and forest management at Nile Fibre Board Kikonda.

Racheal is currently pursuing her MSc. in Environment and Natural Resource Management at Makerere University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Forestry from Makerere University. Racheal has had certificate trainings in modeling the Low Emissions Analysis Platform (LEAP) tool with Stockholm Institute, Biogas training with MEMD, Climate Diplomacy Academy (Adelphi) under Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Kenya, African Group of Negotiators Expert Support (AGNES Africa) Cohort XII and UN Climate Change e-Learn which have equipped her with knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences in the different sectors.

Emmanuel serves as the Associate Officer Administration at NREP. He has over 3 years work experience. He is a passionate and accomplished professional with a diverse career journey dedicated to sustainable development and renewable energy solutions. His career began with LINRED in 2018, where he volunteered, excelling as a computer technician, field photographer, and secretary. In 2019, he conducted a critical survey for the seed multiplication project, showcasing his ability to merge technical expertise with fieldwork. As an intern with the Ministry of Works and Transport from June to August 2022, He played a pivotal role in labor-based road construction activities under the Mount Elgon Labour-Based Training Centre (MELTC). Joining the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development marked a significant turning point in his career, where he engaged in transformative projects, including promoting clean cooking initiatives using Electric Pressure Cookers (EPCs), designing field visit concepts for briquette production, and installing domestic solar systems for household use. His impactful contributions include implementing a solar-powered irrigation system in Pallisa District, participating in the National Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMA) Biogas Project from pre-feasibility to implementation stages, and providing technical support in Masaka and Mbarara City.

Emmanuel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, a foundation that complements his technical expertise. He has participated in high-profile training programs, including Solar Powered Irrigation Systems training organized by CREEC and Sprinktech with GIZ support, and Lucas-Nulle and Solar Mini-Grid training by GIZ at the Renewable Energy Training Centre. He is a trained stakeholder in biogas systems and construction under the NAMA Biogas initiative. Through his work, he has solidified his place as a leader and innovator in the renewable energy landscape.

Noeline currently serves as the Associate Officer Monitoring and Evaluation at NREP. Noeline has over 10 years work experience. She is a Monitoring and Evaluation specialist with hands on experience in understanding how to create indicators. Noeline has experience in data collection, analysis and reporting and has worked with Uganda catholic medical bureau handling patient satisfaction, HMIS and the Ministry of Health. As a statistician and economist, she communicates patterns in data to advise executives/peers on how business operations should be altered as  an enterprise banker, a relationship manager (business banking) cooperate level; analyzing customers to determine their ability in acquiring loans especially the SMEs at a branch level in DFCU bank while showing the ability to clearly define and articulate the customer problem, ensuring alignment with the goals, objectives and Knowledge of various companies before report writing.  Noeline holds a MSc. in Development Economics from Uganda Martyrs University, a Postgraduate in Monitoring and Evaluation at Uganda Management Institute, and a BSc. in statistics and Economics from Uganda Martyrs University. This academic background has led her into choosing or developing appropriate measurement tools and indicators, assessing and planning for the necessary resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment required for successful research implementation. Creating realistic timelines for each phase of the research, from design and data collection to analysis and reporting.

Silver currently serves as the Associate Officer Project Operations at NREP, where he plays a pivotal role in the implementation of renewable energy initiatives. Silver has over 5 years of work experience. His professional journey began at Century Beverage Bottling Company, where he served as a Quality Controller, ensuring the highest standards in production processes. He later worked as a Research Assistant at the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development under the Budget Monitoring Unit, contributing to critical national projects. To further his expertise in renewable energy, Silver trained at the Renewable Energy Department at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. This experience deepened his commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Silver attained his Bachelors degree of Science in Biotechnology from Makerere University in 2019. His passion for science and innovation has shaped his career trajectory, emphasizing sustainability and development.

Joan works serves as the Associate Officer Finance and Corporate Affairs at NREP. Joan has a work experience of close to 2 years. She is a dedicated Social Worker with hands-on experience in Capacity Building, Community Engagement and Advocacy. Currently, she leveraging her expertise in Community Development and Resource Mobilization through advocacy to drive Sustainable Energy Solutions. She served as a Social Work Aide at Ibanda Child Development center in 2020 and as a client advocate at Kasangati Health center IV in 2021. She previously worked as Graduate Trainee and Volunteer at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, thus uncovering patterns in Energy Policy and Development, where she honed her skills in Community Engagement and Social Support.

Joan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Kyambogo University. She is a Gender- sensitive social worker equipped with extensive training in Gender Mainstreaming for Transformative approaches by FAO and the Knowledge for Development Partnership. She is Passionate about Empowering Communities through Sustainable Energy Solutions and Social Development with a strong commitment to integrating Gender Equality into all aspects of her work.

Rodney currently serves as an Associate Officer, Communications, at the National Renewable Energy Platform (NREP), where he leads efforts in stakeholder engagement, strategic communication, and promoting renewable energy initiatives across Uganda. With over four years of experience in renewable energy communication, project management, and business development, Rodney is passionate about advancing sustainable energy solutions.

In his role at NREP, Rodney drives impactful communication strategies that align with the organization’s mission of fostering renewable energy adoption. He oversees content creation, public relations, and member engagement, ensuring that stakeholders remain informed and connected to the latest developments in the energy sector. His work is instrumental in shaping narratives that support Uganda’s transition to renewable energy.

Previously, Rodney served as the Membership and Communications Officer at the Uganda National Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Alliance (UNREEEA), where he coordinated large-scale projects like the Energy and Minerals Exhibition 2023 and the Powering Jobs Initiative.

Rodney holds a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquaculture from Makerere University. He is skilled in advanced digital communications, data analysis, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement and remains committed to driving collaboration and innovation in Uganda’s renewable energy sector.
